Minnesota more conservative than liberal while also more democrat than republican.

The Gallup organization released a poll on the make-up of the states on the conservative-liberal and republican-democrat fronts.

On the ideology front, conservatives outnumber liberals in every state in the country. Even in liberal states like Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Vermont conservatives had one point margins.

In Minnesota, 36% of Minnesotans describe themselves as conservatives while 23% say they are liberals. 38% say they are moderate. The net conservative factor is +13. The net republican factor in Minnesota is a negative -17. That means democrats outnumber republicans by 17 percentage points.

Nationally, Minnesota is described as "somewhat conservative."

I suspect the conservative-liberal gap will continue to grow as Obama pushes his "liberal" agenda on a more "conservative" nation.

The only thing this poll shows is that the Religious Right has no place in the conservative party.

You see, Conservative is a Political affliation. Its about economics.

The radical right is what is being pushed out from government.

So the only ones that are in danger are people like the MFC

Any inteligent conversation with worldly people that have traveled outside their little suburban home understands this.

Its about finance, not about morals. Its about structure and foundation.

You can lead your personal life with religion and non facts as base to your life and family but you can't lead a country with it.

All the articles you have printed with false connotations on how other countries are failing on their political base is more than just an insult, its absurd in the least.

Please understand your numbers before printing them, and please stop printing lies and false ideas that conservative is what the MFC stands for, it stands only for the religious radical extremists. Which is not a political format, its a religious one.

Only thing that is being pushed is your extremist radical religious agenda on a secular nation.

Perhaps a 101 class in politics and seperation of church and state needs to be done over at the MFC since conservative does not equal extremist radical religious right.

Seperation of church and state.

The only downfall will be the radical religious right such as groups like the mfc, its the downfall of the middle east as well.

The choice of the people will stand, and to mix politics with religion has always been the demolition of any country, history has shown that.

There will be no room for the Religous agenda, The oppression of the radical extremists as our country goes forth. Moral structure will be built on secular notion, with sound financial thought and process.

The only true conservative is liberal by political demand. To allow lifestyle to not be chosen for oneself. But to allow to live in a legal society and to grow as a financially sound nation.

The radical religous right had their chance, and it brought our nation to almost demolished decay. The world view was at zero, hatred for americans were at its highest.

Its time for politics to put religion where it belongs in the places of worship and in the private sector. If it does not, then our nation will decay. It is detremental to the growth of our nation and as a morally structured society. To force one mans Morals onto another is in fact immoral in itself.

Herb wrote, "To force one mans Morals onto another is in fact immoral in itself."

Isn't that a statement of moral value? So why do you think it's OK to "force" your moral values on other people?

Unknown said...

Please. that is comeing from someone who wants law to reflect his own religion?

I have many a practice I would never ever think is ok for anyone else to do besides me. is there or has there been ever a time where you have not thought you are WRONG for thinking that way because it does not align with my religion or behavior?

my methaphor of an forcing one mans moral onto another is immoral is exactly the same line of do onto others as you would want them to do onto you. And is no different.

The bottom line is that politics, conservative and or liberal are different than what moral ground one has made a choice in and does not have to reflect the bible.

Herb, Claude, "jesus" and "ex" -

What a bunch of cattle, you drooling dullards.

All of your comments and rebuttals are based upon your personal beliefs and values - which you are trying to force upon others.

Worse, you are a religion unto yourselves, and, therefore, as spineless as a candle in the wind.

You believe that your thoughts are your own, but in reality they are but pale shadows of pop culture drivel spewed forth by late afternoon talk show hosts.

Behavior? Choice? Detrimental to society? Extremist?

Like an insomniac with a remote control, you channel surf through values and beliefs, stopping here to worship at the trough of Oprah, and there to idolize Dr. Phil.

What threatening remarks Otis. You do not know me.

I am a "conservative" I have a family, I am white, I am a man, I have children, I go to church, yes church, a catholic church, and not a liberal one. I believe in God, I believe in Jesus.

I believe my religion has nothing to do with politics. I believe that what is good for the over all population has nothing to do with religion. My salvation is all I need to worry about. How others view their lives, their families and their faith or non faith is theirs to worry or not worry about. I do not hold judgement.

I personaly do not support divorce for myself, or abortion, death penalities, war of any kind.

I do not believe that my personal value or moral systme is how any politics should run. Its about economics and organization. Not moral ground.

The only thing that is supported here is control and power, and they use the veil of religion to get it. Its a form of slavery colonization is.

Please refrain from such threatening insults.

ps, I dont own a tv and I do not allow any tv time or pc time for my homeschooled children, we structure our homeschooling on a waldorf like structure.

So your remarks about mass media following is lost here. Please think of another insult.

in the past when there has been such huge insults personally directed at anyone at the mfc like the ones otis made at the ones commenting here, the mfc has stepped in and verbally bullied and forced those people who commented from commenting again.

Will the MFC stand up and do the same when its someone who is "on their side?"

Or is threating someone ok when its on the same side of your opinion?

Minnesota Family Council said...

OK everybody, calm down.

Otis, you are a bit over the top but I fail to see any threats.

Elaine, I see lot's of labeling like "extremist," and "drooling dullard," but I don't see anyone suggesting that God will strike them dead with a lightening bolt; which is what you are referring to.

(Incidently, those individuals can post.)

However, let's all try to communicate without name-calling and thank you all for your interest and input.

""Whether concern about 'death panels' is justified or not""

But you printed a blog saying it WAS jusified, you were backing up the lies and fear tactics that it IS true.

Now you say welllll.... Even if that isn't true.

Do you not take any responsibilities for what you print? for what you say?

You lied. now its time to say that and to appologize for lieing. for using fear tactics. for bending any truth to fit your agenda.

Jesus was a liberal said...

How exactly is someone saying that God will strike you down a threat? Does any one human have the power to make GOD do something like that? If so please introduce me to that person, its someone I would like to befriend!

Unknown said...

Yes exactly how is stating that God will strike you down a threat? Does that person have a special in that perhaps we should all know about? If anything are you not closer to God than anyone else on the planet Oh ever high voice of the MFC?

There is no "liberal agenda" the liberal side is just that.

here are definition of liberal.

broad: showing or characterized by broad-mindedness; "a broad political stance"; "generous and broad sympathies"; "tolerant ...
having political or social views favoring reform and progress
tolerant of change; not bound by authoritarianism, orthodoxy, or tradition
a person who favors a political philosophy of progress and reform and the protection of civil liberties
big: given or giving freely; "was a big tipper"; "the bounteous goodness of God"; "bountiful compliments"; "a freehanded host"; "a handsome allowance"; "Saturday's child is loving and giving"; "a liberal backer of the arts"; "a munificent gift"; "her fond and openhanded grandfather"
a person who favors an economic theory of laissez-faire and self-regulating markets
free: not literal; "a loose interpretation of what she had been told"; "a free translation of the poem"

Sounds all very good to me, and very very very christ like.

here is a definition of conservative

resistant to change
having social or political views favoring conservatism
cautious: avoiding excess; "a conservative estimate"
a person who is reluctant to accept changes and new ideas
button-down: unimaginatively conventional; "a colorful character in the buttoned-down, dull-grey world of business"- Newsweek
a member of a Conservative Party
bourgeois: conforming to the standards and conventions of the middle class; "a bourgeois mentality"

Sounds pretty much like if you make that choice you are on your way NOT to see christ.

So "Jesus" you want to be intoduced to the person that can persuade God to strike me down with a lightening bolt?

Jesus was a liberal said...

I would like to be introduced to anyone PERSON that has that power. What he does with his power is I think is called free will, but then again, if people have that sort of power there is no free will.

You did not answer the question.

How is someone stating that God could or would, or would not strike you or anyone down a threat? How does a person have the power of God in their hand?

You do not answer any question you bully and make fun.

Unknown said...

Yes, how exactly is saying that God will strike you down a threat? Does anyone person have that power? if so then how exactly did that happen?

Unknown said...

I went back to find the postings. The only threat I saw was from the mfc. They implied they would tell their place of imployment that they were posting on company time.

There was an opinion said that if one person believes one way, then by all means let God strike that person down.

No one ever said, I am going to make God strike you down for doing this or that.

Please appologize for your threat MFC. Take responsibility.

Unknown said...

but perhaps your truth is that your word is one of God's and therefore all things said by you is ok and that anyone that disagrees with you is not.

oh wait that is what you said!
