Over the weekend late term abortionist George Tiller was murdered Sunday morning in his church foyer. I condemn his murder as have numerous pro-life leaders across the country. His murder was an act of lawlessness inconsistent principles of justice and the goals of the pro-life movement.

Dr. Robert George, prominent legal authority and professor, probably said it as well as anyone in a statement issued Sunday:

“Whoever murdered George Tiller has done a gravely wicked thing. …No private individual had the right to execute judgment against him. For the sake of justice and right, the perpetrator of this evil deed must be prosecuted, convicted and punished. …Every human life is precious. George Tiller’s life was precious. We do not teach the wrongness of taking human life by wrongfully taking a human life.”

Ex-cop's killing of unborn baby = murder; Abortion = ?

As reported by Fox News and other sources, an Ohio jury has convicted former police officer Bobby Cutts Jr. of murdering his pregnant girlfriend and their unborn baby girl. He could face the death penalty.

The jury reportedly accepted the prosecutor's argument that Cutts strangled his girlfriend because of mounting child support.

Can someone help me understand this: What is the difference between Cutts killing his unborn baby because he can't afford to support another child, and a doctor killing an unborn baby because the mother can't afford to support another child?

Why is this unborn baby's killing regarded as murder, but abortion isn't? What the father did is murder, but if the mother sought and obtained an abortion for the same reason it's legal? What's wrong with this picture?

Further proof of the irrationality of Roe v. Wade and legal abortion.

It's a child, not a choice!

It will be interesting to see if the mainstream media mentions this angle on the story. It will also be interesting to see how abortion rights advocates dance around it -- if they dare to respond to it at all.

A youth who murdered two school friends with a hunting knife was jailed for life yesterday in a case which has raised questions about the mental health risks of cannabis. Thomas Palmer, a habitual cannabis user, was 18 when he killed the two boys in an "explosion of anger" which left one of them with his head almost severed.

He cut 16-year-old Steven Bayliss's throat and stabbed Nuttawut Nadauld, 14, on a footpath near their home in Finchampstead, Berkshire, in September 2005. Palmer admitted killing the boys but denied murder on the grounds of diminished responsibility, claiming he was in the early stages of schizophrenia. A jury at Reading crown court yesterday rejected this and found him guilty of murder.
